A CHILD-CENTERED CURRICULUM: that incorporates all areas of development through exploration of materials and activities based on the child's interest and the teachers objectives. While we  implement and incorporate STEAM, we use creative curriculum. It's foundation is based on nearly a century of research in child development which facilitates the growth of social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Purposeful play and supportive relationships between families, teachers, and children are at the core of our philosophy. The goal of Creative Curriculum is that: "The environment meets children's developmental needs."

Mindfulness yoga for ages 2+

In addition to the curriculum provided by our full-time staff, students in the preschool receive weekly enrichment from visiting specialists 
 
Current enrichment activities include:

  • instruction of children's yoga (to ensure all children benefit from this activity, it is offered for all preschool children and paid for by PDN)

Our building was designed especially for caring for young children. The facility enjoys

EARLY HEAD START PARTNERSHIP

Pasadena Day Nursery for Child Development has a infant and two-year-old classroom at our facility which integrates children from Pacific Clinics Early Head Start. FAMILY STYLE MEALS

Family Style meals are implemented as part of Creative Curriculum. In addition we adhere to California's Child Care Food Program, nutritional guidelines. Snacks & Lunch Meals are prepped in our kitchen daily.
